HAPAG AIRLINES

When Hapagfly was founded in 1972 it set itself the aim of allowing passengers to start their well earned holiday as soon as they boarded the plane. On 30 March 1973 a Boeing 727-100 with 125 seats flew south for the first time in the Hapagfly colours. The first flight with holidaymakers to Ibiza was fully booked.

Time goes by, but the service remains

Fashion and aircraft have changed since 1973, but our idea of service, reliability and safety has not only continued, but has been continuously improved. This is reflected in the fact that Hapagfly was one of the worlds first airlines to gain ISO 9002 certification. The company thus set new standards in the holiday airline sector.

With 552 flights per week from 21 departure airports to 39 destinations in nine countries Hapagfly offers a summer timetable which includes all the popular destinations in the sun around the Mediterranean, on the Canary Islands and on the southern Atlantic coast.

The 21 Hapagfly destinations are located in Egypt, Greece, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia and Cyprus.

Over the winter months from November 2004 to April 2005, Hapagfly is again offering the favourite sunshine destinations around the Mediterranean, on the Canaries and on the southern Atlantic coast. In the programme are 17 departure airports to 26 destinations in nine countries. Absolutely new in the winter are the connections to

- Alexandroupolis
- Cairo

Coinciding with the start of the winter flight schedule on 01 November 2004, all Hapagfly flights will for the first time be operated as non-smoking flights. The holiday airline is complying with the general wishes of passengers to have non-smoking flights and is also following the international trend. Previously Hapagfly operated a smoking ban only German domestic flights and Spanish internal flights.
